Audio CDs cut before end of last track

PeterWright wrote on 8/2/2022, 11:07 PM

This has been happening for the last few versions of Vegas Pro. I have purchased every version since 3.0.

When I burn a CD from the Vegas Timeline, the last track often finishes abruptly a second or two before the actual end. I have to try and remember to drag the final red track marker a few seconds after the end of the last track to avoid the problem.

If I use CD Architect this does not happen.,

Am I alone with this problem?

@PeterWright, what version of VEGAS? I have seen this problem with a few version around 10-13 I think. I have not seen this issue at all in recent versions.

Hi Edward, sorry should have said - this is with version 19, and the last few versions as well' I have got used to remembering to move the final marker but sometimes forget.

I am curious if the timeline time setting makes a difference. (minutes vs. smpte or other)

Interesting point DMT3. When I use Tools / Lay out Audio CD from Events, the time setting changes from the default "Time and Frames" to "Audio CD Time"

okay, Vegas is changing it for the correct format. Hmm, I have burned CDs in previous versions but have not tried any on recent versions.

I never used the Lay Out CD option. I always just dragged the audio files to the timeline and inserted regions. Not really sure what the Lay Out CD option does differently.
