Audio Channel Volume

Hi all:

I am helping a friend edit a chartiy event that he taped last week in which he used his on camera mic and a wireless that was taped to the podium where the key note speakers were giving their presentations from. I have never had to deal with two mics before, and know very little about audio per say. In any event, there is one area where he wants me to lower the volume of the left channel and bring up the volume on the right channel. But, I'm am unaware of how to do this.....The one way that I thought of was to duplicate the audio track and right click to choose left channel only, then do the same on the next track and right click to choose right channel only and then manipulate the volume on the independent tracks. Any suggestions or comments on if I am way off here would be appreciated.
Thanks
Lori J.

That sound like about the best way to handle it.

Insert an audio envelope into the audio tracks, right click and insert two points at the beginning and two points at the end of the sections you want to raise or lower. Then use the mouse to drag the envelope line up to raise or down to lower in between the double point sections.
