AUDIO Crackling 08-05-20 - Old videos doing it too

Hello,
Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide...

So to explain. Currently I am experiencing Audio crackling. Unknown source, but it has to be Vegas as the original does not have and only in the program and also rendered does this issue occur. It also occurs in older previous files as I brought them back in to test the issue. I have tried reinstalling and uninstalling.

Online it has suggested the options, preferences, SO4 to FALSE solution, but it didnt work. The audio file attached to the video was deleted.

Help! lol

Sorry all the audio features are old including plugins and has never been updated for more than 5+years it's no were nowhere as good as Pro tools or DaVinci resolve.
