Audio envelope not functioning

Using Movie Studio Platinum 17.

Cannot create audio envelopes on new projects - the envelope line does not appear on the timeline even though enabled. When editing old projects, the audio envelopes are no longer visible. Is there a global setting that disables all audio envelopes?

I'm not aware of such a global setting. Keyboard "V' of course does hide them.

Try a "factory reset". Instructions below. It also applies to VMS but follow carefully as clearing the cache is important.
