Audio event fade curve default

I've got a minor problem / enhancement request related to workflow. It seems to me the default fade curve for audio events is "fast", regardless of what's set in preferences > editing.

This is fine for auto-crossfading audio events, where one wants to maintain a constant volume, and fine too for the automatic quick fade length, but I would love to be able to set the default to "smooth" for when I manually drag a fade out. Smooth audio fade-outs just sound better to me and I find myself manually changing nearly all of them to smooth after applying them.

Holding down a modifier key to set the curve type while applying the fade would be another useful option.

This has been a topic of discussion over on the Audio Forum often.

When loading or recording lots of audio tracks and/or lots of audio events, the "one at a time" method is more than tedious. Even Shift/Ctl + Clicking would be a major improvement.

The best option to this point is the CurveTypesSmooth script.

Thanks. I found this script on the VASST site within the EventCurveTypes package of 4 scripts. Now... it would be great to be able to set different curve types for the beginning and end of audio events (for example convex for the start, smooth for the end).

You CAN set different curve types. You'll just need to modify the script for the proper types.
