I was doing some EQ'ing this morning (trying to make music sound like it's coming over the phone) by applying various FX to audio events. As I tinkered with the FX and replayed the event, the discarded FX settings were somehow being "remembered" by the event, even after I bypassed (and then deleted) them from the audio event. The clip played as if they were active. Even weirder, on playback I can hear the changes as I tinkered with the FX, as if I had been setting audio keyframes.
I'm talking about some of Sony's generic plug-ins, like Graphic EQ, nothing fancy, although it seems to occur with any FX I try. Even when I move the clip around the timeline, the bogus FX follows it.
I don't hear this behavior in FX applied at the track level, however. I also think it's new to build 511, but can't swear to it. Is it possible I have a rum setting, or is this a bug, just in time for the holidays?
