audio files from handycam disc

I'm a new user so please understand..

I captured the video file from a Sonyhandycam DVD minidisc but there is no audio...?

I tried the mute buttons but nothing THere is sound on the dvd which will play if the disc is still in the machine however once the disc is removed, there is a picture but no sound on the Sony Vegas screen.

Can anyone help?

What process did you use for capturing? Did you try File / Import / DVD camcorder disc?
