Audio from MPEG2 not being included

Hi Kids -

I recently captured a friends home brewed DVD (slide show presentation with background music) using a Roxio capture to an MPEG-2 file. WHen I play the resulting MPG using Windows Media Play it looks and sounds fine. Hoever, when I import it into my Movie Studio project, only the video portion is loaded - NO AUDIO. Can someone let me know how to include both video and audio - Thanks.

I guess it depends on what format the audio is.

Movie Studio only PCM audio and not AC3, which may explain why you are not getting any audio.

There is a freeware program called VirtualDub Mpeg which will allow you to convert AC3 audio to PCM. You will need to download the appropriate AC3 and Mpeg 2 plug-ins for VirtualDub in order for it to work.
