Audio grid in video preview window??

I captured video to my hard drive, that went just fine, I load it to edit it and all I get in the bottom right-hand preview window is an audio spike type grid, how do I change this so I can see video in the preview window????
I have Vegas Video 3.0

I can't promise this will work for VV3, but it sets back the default windows on VV4. You close the program and then restart, while holding the Ctrl and Shift keys down.
