Audio Is Out of Sync

So I’ve been using Vegas 13, but I just “upgraded” to 16. I copy and pasted a video over from 13 to 16 in the hopes to edit it, but the audio is completely out of sync in 16 for some reason. I know how to fix it, but I shouldn’t have to considering in 13, the audio is perfectly synced and has no issues. I even opened a new project and opened the video file itself from the folder, and it’s still out of sync. Any ideas on what to do?

So I ended up watching a video that helped me fix it right away. Apparently I need to control shift the preferences and go over to internal. I then search so4 and find the one that says “enable So4 compound reader for AVC/M2TS” and set it to “false” instead of the default true. It worked as soon as I closed the application and started it up again and my audio was synced to my video like it was supposed to.
