Audio Issue after upgrade (V21 Build 300)

Glen.G wrote on 4/25/2024, 4:09 AM

I have just upgraded to Vegas Pro to V21 Build 300 and now all audio sounds like it's slowed down to half speed or pitch shifted down an octave.

I have opened old projects and get the same effect. I have changed audio devices and get the same effect.

I have also re-encoded the video file I'm using in Handbrake in case it was a problem with files Zoom produced.

I have now uninstalled everything Vegas related and reinstalled and the problem persists.

Yes, there is a problem with mono audio that Zoom produces. Hopefully this will be fixed soon but until then that's a good workaround.

Roger, I tried many files, including ones with stereo audio. SO I think the problem is broader than just mono zoom audio, but glad there is a workaround. It is nice when a new decoding engine is introduced, the old one is left as an option. :)

You're right, the problem is mono audio of any variety, though that's all that Zoom produces.

I had the same problem with video from Skype 'Meetings' recordings. This fixed it.
