Audio low and with static beats

James-Esparza wrote on 4/17/2020, 6:33 PM

Hello Folks,

Recently jumped back in to learn editing and Vegas Pro was always super easy. However, I've noticed that my audio has static beats during my editing and i thought i was related to bad audio captured. But it's not. The footage i captured when played outside of Vegas Pro the audio is fine.

Any thoughts? I'm looking to fix it so that my audio doesn't have static when editing. It's very difficult to edit when distracted by static.

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks!

@James-Esparza - What’s a Static Beat? You have me. Is it a Metronome? Got a sample for us to hear?

Have you used an unregistered plugin?

@Former user - Ah! Is that like a WATERMARK for unregistered Video fX plugs?

It could be. Usually a beep is inserted, but it could be using static noises.

Your sample is suggesting you have the VP Metronome active.

I checked and my metronome is off.

That almost sounds like bleed through from a radio or phone. Like your computer is picking something up either through the sound card, wiring in your house or something.

See the audio..those are the static beats i find everywhere. I hear them on SV but it i play clip on other software i don't hear them.

Is your Audio matched to your Project Settings?

Maybe a mismatch between vegas and your soundcard sample rates. It is very rhythmic.
