Need some suggestions from you audio folk - as I am about as useful as legwarmers on polar bears when it comes to audio!

I am looking to monitor my vegas project, taking the output of pc souncard, feeding it to a mixer, and then monitoring that on various speakers....pc speakers, good stereo speakers, client monitoring etc etc

I am looking for ideas as to what people use with their vegas set-up. I haven't got down to price brackets yet...so I am open to suggestions.
