Audio Not Appearing When Using VOB?

hey all just thought i would ask if anyone has a way of getting audio AND video not just video to come up when dragging a vob file into vegas? is it how you rip it or is it something else? have seen alot of ppl asking the same question but never an answer.

There have been lots of answers. The go like this;

Vob files are made up of .mpeg 2 and AC-3 files. The AC-3 is the audio component. Vegas supports encoding to AC-3 but not decoding.

yes but thats not a solution, sorry i used the wrong word....i know it can somehow be done my boss had some working on the old computers but he cant imitate it now. is there a way to rip the vob files not using ac3? or fooling vegas into thinking its something else?
