Audio not as good as it should

I've got some kind of problem happening when I render my video files...the audio isn't as good as it should be. It sounds like there's that crapy mp3 high end stuff happening...yet, as far as I can tell, all my audio setting are at the maximum..I'm recording usig a gl3, so the original audio is very high quality as well, and when I play the movie on the time line, there are none of these artifacts in the sound....does anyone have an idea why this is happening......???

You need to describe the artifacts a little better. What are you rendering to?

Im rendering to MPeg...I've tried all the settings...the artifacts are high end mp3 ish distortion...but the werid thing is, I only hear it when I play the file in a windows based mediao player...like windows media player 9...if I open the file using dvd architech, the sound is perfect??

Play it in stand alone and compare. Regarding WMP: did you configure custom equilizer there???

My wmp does the same thing, play your file in another player.
Your file should be fine.
