Audio not in sync with video

When I capture, the audio is in sync with the video as is normal, but when I proceed to edit the footage on vegas, the sound is seconds behind the video. Is there a way to move the entire audio track a little without the video track moving, or vice versa?

Select the event and type U to ungroup them. You may then slide the audio or video around on the timeline independantly of the other. When you have them lined up, select one, then Ctrl-click on the other to select them both, then type G to group them back together.

How are you capturing?

But, from what source? Is this from a DV camcorder through firewire? Or is it analog through a video card?
