Audio out of sync or freezed frames with long MPEG streams.

I'm experiencing audio out of sync or freezed frames when I render long (2 hours) streams to MPEG 1 or 2 file format. It seems that Videofactory can't handle correctly big files. I save on my PC entire MPEG2 video (2 hours) throught my DVB Technotrend satellite card. The sat card saves only in MPEG2 format. I must say that the original file it is correclty played back with any MPEG2 player such as Windows Media Player, but when I edit it with VideoFactory and then I render it at a certain point the audio is misaligned and some times 5 to 10 second of video is freezed while audio still works.
I tried to split the video in two parts, but the problem still remains. I then create 20min. streams and the audio misalignment seems to reduce. So I tried with 12min. in this manner the out of sync is lesser but still it is.
Can you help me?

Another issue. I noticed that, always with long streams, when I import for the first time a MPEG stream in VideoFactory and the program starts to build the audio peaks, at aprox 52% it stops and from that point on the peaks are displayed as zero althought I can hear the sound. What happens?

My PC:
Intel 1,5Ghz - 515 Mb Ram
2 harddisks: one for the OS, the applications and the swap file, the other one only for video streams. Both HD are 7200rpm. I also tried to defragment the second HD before starting rendering but I didn't solve the problem
VideoFactory 2.0c build 125
Windows XP Pro SP1

Please help me work it out.
