Audio playable but sinewave can't be seen

Although I have PRO, a friend has STUDIO. He has a problem with the audio track does not show the sinewave just a colored block, however it still plays the audio.I can't help him, I've spent hours trying to fix it. Any help appreciated.

The waveforms can be toggled on or off with CTRL+SHIFT+W

If the file is long and you are zoomed out to see the entire duration of a file, seeing a "colored block" is very normal.

What is the duration of the audio track?
What is the frequency of the sine wave?

How far zoomed in is the view?

Sometimes the audio is low enough the waveform can't be seen but can still be heard.
Right click on the event and Switches and Normalize.
