audio playback/sample sounds robotic

literally just started using Vegas Pro. Opened a file i was going to edit and everything was fine. Closed the program to do something else. Opened the program again and tried using the in-app file viewer/sampler and the audio quality dropped(im assuming to allow me to sample/view the file without opening it. That same quality of audio is now applied to every file i open.

All voices now sound like the into to Iron Man by ozzy osbourne X(

We don't know what the "in-app file viewer/sampler" is. It doesn't sound like anything that is native to, or ships with Vegas Pro.

@UnHolysniper This is a long shot - try Options\Preferences\Audio Device and change the Audio Device Type from the dropdown list. If that fixes the problem you will probably find you can change it back and all is okay. But you need to click "Apply" each time.

He's probably referring to the Preview button available above the Project Media Pane.

So, when your searching for a video file using the file explorer(in the top left box of the program) it plays a preview of the file in top right of the program. I did that one time, and then whatever that did changed the audio to a horrible quality thats difficult to understand speech with.

Now, while working on my project, the audio quality is the same as with the file viewer preview.
