Audio problems with Movie Studio 15 Suite

I have unfortunately had to video a funeral because the relatives live in Australia. A female relative spoke from the pulpit without a microphone and was exteremely quiet. People in the church were turning up their hearing aids and did not hear her. I have boosted the sound considerably to a reasonable level BUT it has affected the entire audio before and after which is absolute rubbish. How do a set the audio before to normal and the audio after to normal.? I have never ever had a problem like this before. My PC is 3 years old with 3 fast drives, one especially for doing video on. I will not go to Windows 11 so am using Windows 10 Pro. Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you've increased the volume on the audio event, just split the audio event before and after the female relative's speech and lower the volume and the before and after audio events back to normal. You'll likely need to overlap the audio events to create crossfades so that the audio doesn't suddenly jump up and then down.

If you've increased the volume at track level, split the audio event before and after the female relative's speech and move the before and after audio events on to another audio track with the default audio volume. You'll likely need to extend each audio event and add fade ins and outs to them so that the audio doesn't suddenly jump up and then down.
