Are you allowing the program to completely conform your audio and draw your waveforms before you start editing?

When you add a clip to your project, you can watch the conforming process progress in the lower left of the program.

Try removing the file from your project and then re-adding it. If that doesn't work, remove the file from your project, rename the file and then add it to your project -- and this time wait for it to fully conform before you edit it. If it's a longer clip, it may take a couple of minutes.

Cannot get it to work in Platinum 12. I have platinum 10 installed also and it renders fine. Whenever 12 shuts down Bitdefender will give a warning of Malicious Device Detected. I exited out of Bitdefender, tried again and it shuts down after rendering the audio halfway through. I guess after I finish project I will reinstall Platinum 12 and see if that works. The bad thing is whenever I uninstall one version usually something will get messed up in the other version and I end up having to reinstall everything including Architect.

Have you tried disabling bitdefender to see if that is stopping the render?

Yes Ive tried that. Studio will still shut itself off half way through the render without the warning. After I finish my project Ill reinstall and see if that helps. Like I stated it worked fine until Windows 10. Thanks.

Just as I thought, I reinstalled 12 and now I cannot open Studio10 or Architect. Any ideas before I uninstall all three and reinstall? Thanks.

Far be it for me to say . . . but the issue is with Win 10 and yr PC internal arrangements. Seems to me you need to revert to earlier OS whatever Microsoft might say.

IMHO if the program works OK before the upgrade and now doesn't ( with no other changes in hardware, malware, software, etc. ) then going-back is surely the best Option . .. just do it before the Time-Window expires...!

Sorry if that sounds harsh. BTW there is a new Win10 Upgrade out - it's just possible that could fix it. Presumably you've tried shutting down all other programs, etc? A while back DVDAS did an "upgrade" that created problems for my PC (Win7) and only after all other avenues were exhausted did I get the "better upgrade" - you'd think this would be the first thing to do after removing the "lesser upgrade"
Since then I've always made a HDD copy of the DVDAS output . . . and then burnt from "Previously...." that certainly reduced my number of dodgy discs. But now I COPY the SMS render to USB-Memory-stick....which removes DVDAS altogether. Of course you still need DVDAS for a menu-based DVD and it should work with Win10, but for now you are being prevented from getting on.

Thanks UKharrie, I think you hit the nail on the head, problem is Time -Window has expired. I have reinstalled all three and working on a project now to see if that fixed the problem. Thanks for the help.

Reinstalling fixed the problem.
