Audio Slow and Garbled in Vegas Movie Studio

My audio is slow and garbled in Vegas Movie Studio. If I open the project, or a copy, in Sound Forge, it sounds fine. But when I go back to Movie Studio it sounds like a reel-to-real that's dragging and warbling very badly.

Your processor may not be fast enough. Or you may be using project specs that don't match the video and it may require rendering because of it.

What model of camcorder is your video coming from?

Which project specs did you select when you set up your Vegas project?
