We have one of these lovely devices but I don't think we understand how to use it properly. I've done a bit of research and found it can output either M-S or wide/narrow stereo.
What I'm interested in is the Mid-Side mode. I understand how to derive a stereo signal from that easily enough in Vegas however I'm suspecting more can be done. Apart from either getting a true mono track or using mid-side, mid+side to derive stereo can one also alter the apparent stereo width in post, maybe mid - 0.5 side mid + 0.5 side?
