Audio track

I decided to add a couple of audio tracks to my project. Now, when I insert an audio, it displaces all the video on the video track to make room for the audio on the audio track. I haven't had this problem before and can't figure out what I've done to upset things. Any help would be appreciated

You have autoripple enabled. You probably want to either disable it, or enable it only for the affected track. There's a button on the tool bar that looks like two rectangles separated by a tiny gap with an arrow above pointing from the right rectangle to the left one. Just to the right of that is a drop down arrow. Click on the button to turn autoripple on/off, or on the drop down to choose which mode you want it in.
