Audio track FX and event FX dont work Sony Vegas Pro 13

I'm totally unable to enable my track FX. It always shows red as shown in my screenshot. On clicking the plugin chooser icon I am able to pick the plugins but it always shows red(which I presume is bypass all fx). I cant seem to get my audio fx to work even on individual events. Kindly help.

I've used Sony Vegas Platinum Studio in the past and I've had no issues with it from ver 10,11, 12 &13 .

Under options there is a selection to BYPASS AUDIO EFFECTS

Thank you. The problem has been solved by resetting the software on startup by pressing the Shift+Ctrl keys while starting Sony Vegas. The audio fx can be used now without any issues.
