Audio track missing from render

Working on my first video project in Movie Studio Platinum 12.0. I have found the software to be very easy to learn, EXCEPT one problem. I am using two cameras, each with their own separate audio tracks. I have inserted the original music for the dances into a totally different audio track in order to remove the sound of the audience hacking and couphing. But, I need to keep some of the production audio to include the applause. When I preview the production it plays as necessary. However, when I render it onto a CD or into CD Architect the original music track doesn't render over. I don't understand why the whole project doesn't render all together. I have made sure the missing audio track is not muted. I am far from being an expert, so would like a simpleton's answer to what I am doing wrong.

Thanks.

How are you rendering? What output file format and template are you using?

What do you mean by rendering it onto a CD? CDs are audio only, but it seems you're dealing with a video project. Similary, CD Architect is a program, not an output format, so i'm not sure what you mean by that either.

Assuming you mean you're trying to create output video to use in DVD Architect and create a DVD, the answer could be simply that you need to render the audio separately as a .AC3 or .WAV file since the DVD Architect template for rendering MPEG2 video does not include the audio. This is normal and expected, always requiring two renders when preparing files for a DVD.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, DVDs. I'm a bit stuck in bad habits and still call the discs CDs out of habit.

I have tried rendering it in various formats. Burned a lot of useless DVDs in the process.

I finally figured it out. My applause track was on the "rear" audio track. When I changed the location of the audio to "voice" it rendered fine. I also rendered it using separate files as you suggested. Seems all is fine.

Thanks for your help.
