Audio Track problem

I just completed a 53 minute travelogue movie yesterday. I used all six tracks in Vegas Movie Studio 4.0 at one point or another; that is, video text, video overlay, video, voice (for commentary) , music, and sound effects.

I previewed the movie numerous times in MS to ensure smooth transitions, proper sound and used envelopes to keep music in balance with voice overs and the sound effects. The preview was looking excellent and I was looking forward to burn to DVD and distribute the disks to friends who were on the trip with us.

I checked "Burn to DVD" on the MS screen and it saved the files by default to MPEG-2 and to the PCM audio .WAV files.

The results are when I preview in Architect Studio 2.0 that I have:

1. Text is where it should be.
2. Video overlays seem to be where they should be.
3. Video is fine.

4. Music appears where I had it in the Time Line and sounds great.
5. NO voice track at all so none of my comments are heard.
6. NO Sound effects at all.

Did I do something wrong orhas MS not done something it should. It seems as if the audio tracks should have been mixed just like the video tracks were.

Any suggestions or solutions?

Thanks,

Make sure you haven't muted the missing tracks.

Make sure you have Movie Studio 4.0a. The initial release of Movie Studio 4 supposedly had a lot of audio bugs.

I'll download this upgrade and try again.

Thanks

I'm back in business.

The following statement from the read me file with 4.0a was definitely true.

"A bug has been fixed that could cause corrupted audio to be created when using the Make Movie Wizard to burn a DVD."

I appreciate the quick responses. I sent an e-mail to Sony support and have not yet heard from them. I've noticed that while their support is usually quite accurate and helpful that they tend to be slow. I've waited anywhere from one week to a week and a half for a response. It's good to have this Forum.
