Not exactly sure what you're asking.. Does your camera or audio recording device have four audio tracks?
In any case, tracks with no audio (or unwanted tracks w/audio) can be quickly removed. Right-click the track header and select 'Delete track'.
BTW, this only removes the track from the timeline, it's not permanently 'gone'.. the file(s) itself is still in your media folder. Same procedure applies to events.

I am jus using a sony handycam. When I drag the raw file to edit it, it used to only have two tracks, one video and one audio. I must have hit something and now when I drag movies to edit, it has one video track and 4 audio tracks. All audio tracks have sound but not the same. If I mute the tracks individually, I can still hear stuff just at different volumes. As if the 5.1 surround broke it up into different tracks?

I answered my own question. I just checked the settings and I had the audio set to 5.1 which gives you 4 tracks of sound. When set to stereo, it gives you one track.
