I downloaded a flash video off the Interwebs. I used Super to covert it so I can import it into Sony VMS. It is now a MPEG-II video. When I use VLC or Windows Media Player to play the new MPEG-II video, the audio and video are in sync. After I import the same video into VMS 8 Platinum, without doing anything else, the audio and video are out of sync. They are off by 8-10 seconds. It's hard to tell if it gets worse later in the clip or not, but it's off by a bunch right away.
Is there anything I can do about this? Why would the video play fine outside of VMS but when I drag it into VMS, it's out of sync. Because of this I'm thinking it's not a problem when I used Super to convert to something VMS can use.
One other weird thing, but I don't really think it's a problem.....when the video is in the timeline, there are a bunch of red frames shown on the timeline. But, when actually played, it shows up fine in the preview window. In case that gives clues to the syncing problem.
Thanks for listening.
