I know this topic has been covered, but in all the postings Ive read none have been of assistance...usually becuase they're over my head!
I have some wedding video on disk that I imported into Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6.0. All of the various projects I made have rendered beautifully, where audio and video is in synch -- except for the actual ceremony.
To be fair, my brother, the videographer, mailed me the small disks. The raw video footage for the ceremony section already has a synch issue.... So I created a project and moved the video ahead of the audio slightly so that when I preview, the mouths are moving properly. I added a still photo in the front of the video footage with a title and that's the only other embellishment to this project.
Then I render the darn thing and the video has fallen a good second behind the audio.
-I defragmented my hard drive
-I made sure all other applications were closed
-I deleted tmp files from iternet explorer
-When I render I render as MPEG-2 .mpg file using DVD NTSC which says "Audio: 224 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, Layer 2
Video: 29.97 fps, 720x480
Use this setting to create an MPEG-2 file with an NTSC DVD-compliant video stream, and an MPEG layer 2 audio stream."
-under Properties the Frame Rate is 29.97 NTSC
-under Properties the ruler time format is SMPTE Drop (29.97 fps)
Note : Much of this is meaningless to me, Im just trying to point out that ive done much of what you folks have suggested, to no avail.
I even tried using the project to compensate for the lack of synch upon rendering by having the project itself have the video way ahead of the audio...so when rendering it hopefully ends up in synch -- to no avail. Miserable idea.
Any help would be appreciated.
Weird this didnt happen on any of the other video footage that I imported into Vegas from the wedding disks...
thanks in advance,
KP
