I'm very much a video newbie, so please bear with me:

What are my basic hardware/software options for synching to existing video? What would I require in a video player to generate the proper time code (or whatever) for Nuendo?

Do you basically need to record the whole video onto the hard drive and then add audio, or are there other options?
