auto-fit picture to title-safe area?

I have about 700 pictures I'd like to drop onto the timeline for a slideshow. Many have writing that I'd like to remain visible on TV. Is there a way in VV3 to have pictures automatically constrained to the title-safe area? I don't mind if there ends up being a black border for some viewers.

Sure, just use track motion and set it once to the size of the safe title (or action) area overlay in the preview window. Everything on that track will conform to that size now.
You can also set Vegas to overlap the clips for auto transitions when you import multi files to the timeline. It's under Options,prefs,editing. Use Shift or CTRL keys to multi select you pics.
