Auto linking to new menu question

I have a main menu that is also the screensaver for the projector.

An invisible button on that menu causes the video to play.

After the video plays I want it to automatically come back to a completely different menu called "Special Recognition" and sit there.

Then I want to be able to hit "Enter" and sequentially go to four more menus that have pictures and text on them so the honorees can be highlighted individually.

I programmed DVDA to link to the "Special Recognition" menu but after the video plays, it just sits in black: doesn't go back to the first menu or to the Special Recogniition menu.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

What do you have defined as the "END ACTION" for the video?

Also, do you see this behavior in a software dvd player, or in a standalone dvd player? when it happens, are you hitting the "NEXT" button during the video to skip sections, or are you letting it play through?

video's End action is to link to the next menu page. But when playing through, it stays in black. If I hit "next" on the DVDA software preview's virtual remote it goes to the proper menu. After burning and playing back in a desktop DVD player, the "next" button does nothing; I cannot get to the next menu at all.

I did a workaround by placing two small button on the main menu and having the video come back to the main menu after playing. The problem now is that it's not "automatic" and the operator could hit "enter" again and play the video again by accident. He will have to be careful to right arrow to the other button before hitting "enter" to navigate to the secondary menu sets.

Thanks.

How did you set the End Action?

Best way is to double click your invisible button to open the video timeline, THEN select End Action on the right hand panel, Command should read "Link:" and Destination should be set to your desired new menu, which should be accessible via the dropdown.
