Auto-Marking Scenes

Kevin Mc wrote on 4/12/2009, 7:43 PM
Forgive me if this has been asked - I could not find any posts... I have some raw footage from a project where I shot over 150 scenes that I am going to put on to a dvd using dvd architect. Is it possible to have vegas auto-mark each scene (or dvd architect) so I can enable scene jumping with the remote while watching through the raw footage?

Thanks!

I believe Edward at JetDV wrote a couple of scripts to add markers to events and at a given interval.

Both are incredibly useful scripts, so have a serch at www.jetdv.com (if I had the links, I'd post them!)

Maybe the "AddMarkersToEvents" script is what you're looking for...MG

Keep in mind that there's a DVD limit of (I believe) 99 scene markers.

Brilliant - I found the script and will give this a try.

Glad you told me this ~ I was unaware of the limitation

Thanks for everyone's help!

I believe the limit is 99 chapter markers per 'film'. Create a playlist, and each item in the playlist can have 99 chapter markers.

Very useful when I recently created an audio compilation DVD where I needed around 130 markers.

Thanks for the suggestion TLF.
I never use playlists so I forget about them as an option.
