Folks -
This is potentially a painfully stupid question. I use other audio software (Cubase SX and Sonar 3) that allow for two different audio effect routing options:
1) Insert - applied in-line to the signal, the amount usually controlled by wet/dry mix
2) Aux sends - where each channel can send a portion of their signal to a separate bus that contains an effect or effects. This is usually much more useful for global effects (like reverb), and can considerably reduce processor load by using only one instance of an effect. It can also lend itself to more consistency, as the audio is being passed through the same effect settings, regardless of channel.
I haven't seen AUX SEND or AUX BUSS functionality in Vegas. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks!
Pete
