AVC/AAC Vegas Pro 22

Cateroide wrote on 8/1/2024, 12:49 AM

I had some render presets saved on Vegas Pro 21 using the format "Mainconcept AVC/AAC", and after updating to Vegas Pro 22, I can't find AVC/AAC on my presets anymore.

I already altered SO4 and AVC/AAC at "Internal", as I've always done with other versions, but still they won't appear.

How can I render my videos again using AVC/AAC?

Where did MagixAVC go?

I'd undo all these changes to internal settings by resetting VEGAS and try again.

Yes, follow my actions.

- I uninstalled, downloaded and installed again.
- I reset with CTRL + Shift
- I made the change in 'internal'

None of these actions brought the AVC/AAC option to my render panel.

Did you try finding MagixAVC before you made the internal changes?

I'd change the legacy Mainconcept render internal preference back to false.

In the meantime you could use SonyAVC.

Magix AVC is what you want, not Mainconcept. All of the presets in Magix AVC that do not have (NVENC), (VCE), or (QSV) next to them utilize the Mainconcept CPU encoder.

Also, undo the internal preference changes, you are doing more harm than good.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Greetings. I don't have the "Magix AVC" format, do I need to change anything from the original settings?

PS: I reverted all the changes I made previously.

@Cateroide I'd file an official support request as it should be here.

Sony AVC will give you AVC/AAC as well.

The images you show are indicating that you are trying to do a "render to new track" and it is missing some formats. A bug has been reported (and at least one thread here on the forum) and we are working on a fix.

Ah, I missed that critical detail (it's in the header). I have seen other threads on this bug.
