Hi all,
I've just made a 2 title Blu-ray using DVDA 5 & Imgburn (which is excellent).
Originally, using Movie Studio Platinum 12, rendered as Mainconcept 1920x1080 50i 25mbps stream, the 2 titles together exceeded the 25Gb capacity of the disc & DVDA wouldn't progress to make the disc.
I couldn't find how to reduce the bit rate on the 2nd. title (I didn't want to reduce it on the 1st.) so I experimented with other settings & when rendered as Sony AVCHD 1920x1080 50i the size of the rendered file was just over half of the original file size & fitted on the disc wonderfully. The quality of the Blu-ray is also much better than Mainconcept.
This is the way to render in future I thought.
Trouble is, I often need to play the videos on the PC and I can't find anything that will play the resulting .AVC file. Can anyone recommend a player? (preferably free - I'm a Yorkshireman!!!)
I've tried WMP and VLC (which I don't find is anywhere near as good as people suggest) and also downloaded a few others but none play it.
I realise this might be outside the remit of this thread but can't think of anywhere else to post.
If anyone can help I'd be really grateful.
Many thanks,
Steve.
