AVCHD portable burner quality

I have a Pana SD9 and found that they offer their VW-BN1 portable DVD burner for archive and playback.

If I download from the camera to the burner, and then later use those disk files in Vegas, would there be any quality loss compared to downloading AVCHD directly from the SD card to the computer?

If it's anything like the Sony unit, no.

i have a Panasonic HDC-HS9 and I've copied the full SD card directory to DVD data disks, as long as the total is under 4.4Gb of course, and the quality is exactly the same.

Basically it's just a file transfer. No transcoding so the files remain the same as originally recorded.
