Here's a reply from NewBlue abut this issue in a recent thread.

Mike

Thanks to analysis and advice from Sony, testing and feedback from Deanster and VASST, and hard work from our developer, we have the audio problem solved.

But we would always appreciate a few more testers, especially if you are having any other troubles with AVCHD UpShift. With this version, we have fixed quite a number of issues, but I want to make sure we have them all.

If any of you AVCHD UpShift customers would like to try this, please send an email to support@newblueinc.com. Please include your AVCHD UpShift serial number, and I'll send you a link to download the upgrade.

Thanks,

Todor

The new UpShift works great. Basically, all the issues have been resolved as far as I can tell. I thought it was out by now, but am not sure. So I would just email Todor as he has advised in the post that Mike referenced.

hey guys,

I've been out of the loop a bit on this stuff (took about a little while off after the little one was born), but I am expecting to see something this week, glad to see that the new version fixed your problems Tom. I would guess that you're going to see a release in the next few days to a week.

Yes, the new version is great--very smooth resulting M2T files, and the audio seems to be pristine.

But how's the little guy though? I bet you're not getting too much sleep in ND these days! Hang in there, as it gets better...

Actually, He seems to be very kind to us right now - I'm potentially getting 3-4 hours of sleep at a crack at night. Sure I'm pretty tired, and when I have to completely change his clothes due to the little fountain going off, while fighting with the diaper champ, because I don't realize it's full, I find myself getting frustrated. All that aside though, I'm loving being a dad, and I'm just trying to figure out how much more money I need to make to let my wife be a mom :D

I just bought AVCHD after reading that the issues were resolved but the version I downloaded from Vasst (1d) is giving me choppy audio. Is there a patch/update or a new version later than 1d.

I'm using Vegas 8c with AVCHD from a canon hf100.

Thanks,

For anyone else looking at this thread; I received a replay from New Blue CS and the current version made available from a link they sent me is Version 1h.

I'm testing it now

Cheers, William
