Blink, I saw in your system info that you have an HV20 as I do. Are you setting the bitrate at 30,000,000 kbs for your render? Are you doing cbr or vbr? I have been setting at 25,000,000 vbr. I agree that rendering in mpeg2 is much better than AVCHD.

I have noticed that the bitrate in the hv20 AVERAGES at 25M cbr, but it peaks around 27 or 28, so I'm playing around with bitrate settings of 28 to 30 cbr. According to "display" on the PS3 (when I burn at 30M) the output is in fact between 29 and 30 M. Not sure there is a difference to the eye between 25 and 29, but I have the room on a BluRay disk and the machinery is capable of playing it back, so....

I tried last night doing CBR at 30 and DVDA told me that BluRay is only compatible up to 28M. Therefore my file was Bluray incompatible.

I used Ulead MF6. I *THINK* though that DVDa will do it anyway even if you ignore the warning.
