Hey there guys,
Got a problem here, was handed by a friend, a music video project he wanted me to edit together. It was shot with a Canon XL-2 in 24p and on 5 DV tapes, 2 of the tapes were shot in a nightclub, but for some reason after capture into Vegas, they are coming up badly pixelated in the preview window, I thought at first it might be the tape, but they have a bathroom scene intertwined and it is fine, no pixelation. Then I opened up some of the clips in Windows media player and to my surprise its crystal clear, so its not the shots themselves. What could be the problem?
Thank you for any help given.

What settings do you have the preview window set at?

the preview window is set for "preview - auto" and I know thats not the problem. Because when I do a test render and burn it to DVD the jaggedness of the video is still there, only in those clips. There's something wrong with the way the clips are encoded is my fear, because I even tried my Premiere pro (but I like Vegas better) and those specific clips still have that problem.
