Avi rendering crash

I am having trouble rendering video in avi format. On a couple of different projects, the system crashes when I get to picutres. The project contains video and pics, but seems to only crash when it reaches the pics portion.

I tried rendered in mp4 and it renders fine. Will not render in any other format. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a little more info if it helps diagnosis the problem. I am using a Sony sr7 to shot the video and a sony digital camera for the still pics.

Please fill out your system info in your profile. Also the Search function on this forum will yield lots of messages that may be related to your issue - especially since you mention the still pictures. And it's always important to mention which version of the software you use. Good luck.

I bet your photos are large, over 2mb each, correct? VMS7 (and I believe 8 also) doesn't like large photos. Doing a search as suggested will confirm. Resize your photos or upgrade to v9.
