AWE 64 and other SB16 type cards - duplex problems!

These dodgy cards (I own the AWE64 Gold), as some people
may be aware of, do not have true full-duplex recording.
One way is 8 bit and the other is 16 bit (cost cutting
measures it seems).

Currently, Vegas records in 8 bit while playing in 16 bit.
It is possible to do it the other way, but the device order
(rec, play) has to be the other way around. Cool Edit Pro
deals with this, so it would be lovely for Vegas to do so.

You never know, your full spec soundcard may fail one day,
and just to get by you use the SB16 - and the results are
not what you'd like.

There's one of my requests for the day!

I am looking into this one.

This one got by me in all honesty. Just don't use the older SB cards any more.
No excuse.
