Video Factory was $60, came with 29 interactive tutorials and content from Artbeats etc. How things have changed and what was Siren?

[edit] Duh, Video Factory must have been what is now VMS.

Siren was, hands down, The Best media player ever created. Fantastic little piece of software. The playlist setup makes everything else that is currently out there or ever existed look like a dinosaur with kidney stones. Seriously. Every function was plain, simple, easy to use, and above all, recognizable. The buttons made sense and were easy to see and understand! The current trend towards making media player GUIs look like abstract art is awful. I was very sad to see it go.

Probably the only reason it was discontinued is because it cost money and most other vendors were providing their versions for free. Didn't matter to me; it was well worth way more than the $35 price. I picked up about a dozen copies of it on ebay for around $5 to $15 after it was discontinued to make sure i have lots of license codes.

Bring Back Siren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never heard about Siren. Any screenshots?

I agree about the bizarre media player skins. When I want a comic book look, I'll buy a comic book. It's one reason I like Zoom Player--just a window with a couple of buttons at the bottom.

today "Barak Obama" 75,000,000 results "John McCain" 43,100,000 results

And just to be arrogant -
2001 my name in quotes had 2 hits
today 359
