Back light compensation

Too late now. I guess I should have used back light compensation. Any suggestions at what to do now for improve a scene shot against a background of sky. The subjects are not quite silhouetted, but not far off. Thanks for any advice.

You may very well have enough detail within the "blacks" - this is where - sorry for the pun - DV shines thru. I've been able to lift truly dark stuff. Apply the Sony Colour Corrector Fx.

You wanna send me a sample? Just the JPG or PNG of a BEST still from it - I'd LOVE to have a go at it!

You could also try color curves. Gives you much better control so you can lighten the dark areas without changing the highlights at all.
