background audio distorted

Hi, everyone, I'm experincing distortion from my background music I use in my menus. Any ideas what's going on and how to fix this?

This won't help you, but I am suffering the same problem. My background music (tried .wav & .mp3) on the main menu pauses about every second or so. After preparing the DVD, if I load the .VOB file the music plays fine. If I load the .IFO file the music pauses again. Background audio during video clips plays without any problems. Anyone have any ideas.
