Background audio during menus

Can background audio (music) be added to a menu, and also submenus which will continue to play as the user switches from a menu to the sub menus(s)? In other words I can only get the music in a sub menu to start from the beginning of the track each time I switch back & forth between menus & sub's.

Sorry, no can do - not with any authoring program.

What you can do that is very effective though is to put a transition audio/video clip between the menus.

I've made separate WAV files starting at different points of the same piece of music, and use them on different menus. It's not continuous, but offers variety.
