Backgrounds swap...

I use MS6.

Is it possible to swap backgrounds on the picture?

Let’s say I have a picture of someone with a mountain behind him.
And I would like to have him standing in a front of a different abject.

Another example: I need to learn how to put, lets say a pictures of the
Computer components without the backgrounds on the white piece
of paper, without seeing each background on each tiny picture.

Here is one visual example of computer components on the white background:

Removing a complex background (ie, a mountain) is not an easy task. If it is a still image, you can mask out the background in a photo editing program, like photoshop, paint shop pro, etc., then save the image using a transparent background. The format of the saved photo must preserve the alpha channel (transparency) info. I suggest PNG format.

If you have something with a solid color background, you can use the effect "chroma key" to remove the entire background. This is only accurate if the foreground image does not include the color of the background.

I have to assume that in both of your situations you are refering to still images.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements for this problem and it works great. It is worth purchasing it if you don't have it.

Briefly here is the proceedure:
Use the magnetic laso tool to surround the object you want to use. (the surrounding line won't be perfect)

Enlarge the image so you can see to work accurately.

Using the Magic wand tool the line can be pushed in or out to make it line up exactly where you want it.

Open the new background.

Click on the surrounded image to select it.

Click the Move icon and drag the image to the new background where it can be placed and sized to your wishes.

It works great and the program has many features that are a big help in making a video.
