backrounds

I need to know if I can "import" a backround or do I have to use only what is offered by DVDAS?
I thought that I read in another listing that someone had either made their own backround or had imported one from the net or Photoshop....
Thanks
John
P.S. What is the definition of "Ripple"? And what is the reason to add a ripple at the end of a procedure?

You can use most any still image format as a background, including .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, .tif, .tga, and others. You can also use any video clip that Vegas can use, such as .avi, .mpg, .mov, .wmv, etc. to produce moving backgrounds.* Right-mouse-button click on the current background and choose "Set Background Media", or simply drag a still image file from the explorer window onto the frame in DVD A.

I'm assuming your ripple question is about Vegas rather than DVD Architect. Some edits you do will change the length of an event, or insert or delete time. Performing a ripple will move everthing after the edit point to line up whatever happens after the edit to take into account the changes you made. For example, if you trim 3 seconds off of a video clip, performing a ripple will move everything after that event 3 seconds to the left to close up the gap that the trim created.

*Not to make a pest of myself, but i have lots of motion backgrounds availabe in my online store.

Where is your online store... and I don't consider your statement being a pest.... we need to let people know when we have something good to offer... how else do we know?
Thanks
John

Never mind on the first question.... I found your site via your name on the post ....(Duh)
Your site is cool. I just glanced at it... How much are individual backrounds when you make a custom selection?
Thanks again
John

Click where it says a la carte and then show all and it will show you the prices individually. Most are around 75 cents or 50 cents I believe.
