In the interest to avoid banding/stretching/ripples/distortion when there is camera shake or fast movement - that seems to occur AFTER mixing up interlacing settings etc. I ask the following.
Firstly , I want to get to progressive field order and interlaced as the final product because this seems to work best for me.
But after capturing in PAL DV (field order lower line, no interlacing) (presumably NTSC upper order is equally applicable) and setting my project to progressive and interlaced, I am PRE-rendering to AVI ready to input into a new project which will have progressive and interlaced - ready for mpeg1 and meg2 and wmv and real etc.
Will the PRE-render settings of progressive and interlaced be lost because the DV PAL template has a setting to render as lower field order ?
Does the render override the project ?
Did it neutralise the setting or have I erred and it did both, thus increasing the chances that the prerender will later suffer from banding/stretching/ripples/distortion when there is camera shake ?
I say increase because it seems the absence of field order or interlacing after a couple of renders will produce a large amount of banding/stretching/ripples/distortion.
Would it be better to ensure the PAL DV render is similar to my project settings. Would it be best to override the default setting of lower field order ?
